Mission: As a organization born out of a historic anti-corruption environment, the Kharar Citizen welfare council holds itself to the highest standards of probity. People were tired of the status quo, nepotistic, dynastic, corrupt, and communal nature of our politics, and KCWC emergence was a breath of fresh air in this backdrop. There are several reasons that make the KCWC unique and synonymous with the idea of honest and alternative politics in Kharar Vidhan Sabha.

As a political organization of the 2020 anti-corruption movement, the commitment to end corruption from politics and government forms an integral part of the orgenization’s values and its reason for existence. Under no circumstance will the oregenization compromise its position on the issue of corruption. The KCWC is the only political organization that avowedly adopts the anti-corruption platform, tries actively to live by it and wears it as a badge of honour – even as its leaders and volunteers face growing political intimidation and grave personal risk.

Kharar, Punjab was a town located in the Mohali district of Punjab. It is known for its pleasant weather, with warm summers and mild winters. Kharar has a rich history and heritage, having been founded by the Mughal emperor Babur in the 16th century. The town is home to several historical monuments, like Ajj Srover, Qila, Pakka Darwaja, Old Market, Have Manny Historical mandir’s, Gurudwara’s Two Gaushalas. KCWC is Vidhan Sabha-based organization, which will work for the all around development and beautification of all municipal council’s falling under kharar Vidhan Sabha Constituency. Its main task is to eradicate corruption from every department in Kharar vidhan sabha.
KCWC will Work to eliminate pollution and plant more trees in Kharar, Kurali, Nayagaon cities.
KCWC will work to eliminating the problem growing traffic on roads within Kharar city.
To further enhance the drinking water supply to residents of Kharar city. Connecting Kajouli Water Works' water line to kharar.
To solve the problem of parking in Kharar city, we will find suitable places and make parking’s. Establish a good government model school and a Skill Center with the help of the Municipal Council in Kharar City.
Open parks and open gyms for seniors and women and youth.
With the help of an electricity board, we will remove the electricity cable hanging place to place in old township of kharar.
KCWC will improve cleaning work. Managing waste disposal.
We will establish water recharge for the water harvesting system and ground water for better use of rainwater.
To built watch dog Cell in Municipal Council for work smooth implementation of rules established for the builders and colonizers.
Relief to poor people from property tax. Home service for property tax collection from property taxpayers to facilitate them for smooth property tax paying.
Enabling the city's sustainable treatment system at least for the next 30- 40 years to protect the city's sewerage water and the fertile land adjacent to the city.
Reduce crime and cover it with Surveillance by covering all three Cities with CCTV cameras.
Establishment of RWA (Resident welfare Association’s) in each colony of Kharar.
To retain permanent employees or increase direct staff supervisors with the local government department in all Municipal Council’s.
Bring employees working on old tubbels under the Municipal Council.
Kharar will either create a wing or strengthen an earlier wing to remove and prevent encroachments in the city.
Kharar Citizen Welfare Council will also assist the elected representatives in the smooth functioning of the Municipal Council, KCWC will appoint advisors in each ward.
Kharar is a Municipal Council city in district of Mohali, Punjab. The Kharar city is divided into 27 wards for which elections are held every 5 years. The Kharar Municipal Council has population of current estimated population of Kharar Municipal Council in 2024 is approximately 103,000.
Population of Children with age of 0-6 is 8026 which is 10.78 % of total population of Kharar (M Cl). In Kharar Municipal Council, Female Sex Ratio is of 899 against state average of 895. Moreover, Child Sex Ratio in Kharar is around 865 compared to Punjab state average of 846. Literacy rate of Kharar city is 87.85 % higher than state average of 75.84 %. In Kharar, Male literacy is around 90.57 % while female literacy rate is 84.83 %. Kharar Municipal Council has total administration over 18,000 houses to which it supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage. It is also authorized to build roads within Municipal Council limits and impose taxes on properties coming under its jurisdiction.
